Perihan Incegöz

Perihan Incegöz is a Swiss-Kurdish director whose work explores childhood and coming of age. Before turning to cinema, she studied nursing, a profession she continues to practise. This experience has shaped her gaze as a filmmaker, attuning her to vulnerability, intimacy, and the small gestures of everyday life. Her debut, Sukwan’s Island, co-directed with Jonathan Tremblay, premiered at RIDM - Montreal International Documentary Festival and received a theatrical release.
