Our Village from the Moon

In the aftermath of the 2023 earthquakes in Turkey, children move through the ruins of a Kurdish village, turning destruction into a terrain of play and imagination. They dream of travelling to the moon, where the village, its ruins, and the pain they hold might appear smaller.
Around them, adults inhabit a suspended time, finding comfort in ritual and togetherness. Gradually, what begins as a portrait of childhood expands into a political meditation on those left behind, and what remains when a place has been broken again and again.
